Find Your 14-Digit Reference Number
Look near the top of any MEPCO bill you have received. The reference number is printed there, usually with a letter U or R at the end.

You can also use your 10-digit Consumer ID printed on the bill. Either your Reference Number or Consumer ID will work in the box above.
What the 14 Digits Mean
The reference number is not random. It has three parts, and knowing them helps when your bill does not show up.
| Part | Digits | Example | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Batch number | First 2 | 15 | The group your bill is issued with |
| Sub division code | Next 5 | 15125 | Your local MEPCO office |
| Consumer serial | Last 7 | 1234567 | Your own connection |
The U or R after the number means Urban or Rural. Some bill portals ask for it, so note it down with your number.
